In this activity you will have the opportunity to climb aboard the Cap San Diego, the largest cargo ship-museum in the world. During the visit, you will be able to explore the ship and learn many interesting facts about its past.

You'll see where the ship's officers and crew ate and slept, as well as its engine room, its hold, and the routes that, over more than 100 voyages, this 159-metre-long, 50-year-old ship sailed.

Before visiting the ship-museum, you will be able to take a tour of the port on a free-stop boat. This means that you can get off at any of its stops and, after seeing what you want, get back on board. The whole tour lasts about 90 minutes and, during the tour, an expert guide will tell you stories about Hamburg's harbour and its maritime past, while you enjoy the views of the city from the sea and feel the sea breeze on your face.

Along the way, you'll pass by some of the main sites of Hamburg's harbour, including the following:
