The ticket includes access to the Sant’Agostino monumental complex, the Underground Archaeological Museum and the collections of the Civic and Diocesan Museum. During the tour, you’ll learn about the history of Montalcino, its winemaking tradition and the factors that make Brunello such a special wine.

When booking, you can choose between two tasting options. The Classic Option includes 1 glass of Rosso di Montalcino and 2 glasses of Brunello Vendemmia, whilst the Deluxe Option includes 3 glasses of Brunello Vendemmia.

The Tempio del Brunello offers a different way to discover one of Montalcino’s greatest symbols. Through a multimedia experience, you’ll be able to delve into the history of Brunello di Montalcino, its region and the characteristics that have made it one of Tuscany’s most renowned DOCG red wines.

During the visit, you’ll encounter audiovisual content and a virtual reality experience that will immerse you in the landscape, the vineyards and the local culture. You can then continue down into the underground areas, where various projections help to explain the identity of this wine and its close connection with Montalcino.

Your ticket also grants access to the former convent and monumental complex of Sant’Agostino, the Underground Archaeological Museum and the collections of the Civic and Diocesan Museum. In this way, the experience combines wine, history, art and heritage in a single tour.

The visit culminates with a tasting at the Enoteca Bistrot in the Tempio del Brunello. If you choose the Classic Option, you will sample one glass of Rosso di Montalcino and two of Brunello Vendemmia. With the Deluxe Option, the tasting will consist of three glasses of Brunello Vendemmia.

This allows you to choose between a more varied tasting, which lets you compare Rosso and Brunello, or an experience focused entirely on different glasses of Brunello.

    Each wine had its own character: notes of red fruit, old wood, earth. Excellent selection to differentiate styles.

    If you are a wine lover, this tasting is a must in Montalcino. But I would recommend wearing a hat for the outdoors.

    Explanatory panels, antique objects and old photographs give the museum soul. The tasting was the finishing touch.
