This 2-day tour to Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea from Amman is the best way to experience the natural wonders and ancient history of Jordan. The tour is specifically designed so that you don't have to worry about a thing. All transfers are included, as well as hotel pick-up and drop-off service.

You can choose different customisation options to make the tour as enjoyable as possible. You have the option to choose between a small group tour or a private tour, ideal if you are travelling with friends or family. And when it comes to accommodation, you can choose between a classic and deluxe option.

Your journey will begin in a southerly direction towards the reddish city of Petra. This city, considered one of the wonders of the world, was carved in stone more than 2000 years ago to dominate the trade routes of ancient Arabia. You will spend the morning there and have the opportunity to visit its villages, dams and water channels, as well as enjoy a walk along the narrow Siq road.

In the afternoon, on the way to Wadi Rum, you will enjoy the spectacular scenery known as the Valley of the Moon, where the movie "Lawrence of Arabia" was filmed. You will spend the night in an authentic Bedouin camp, with typical Bedouin dinner and evening activities included to fully immerse yourself in the culture.

The next morning, it's time to let off as much adrenaline as possible on a fun 4WD Jeep ride through the desert. There will also be time to visit the Dead Sea, located more than 400 metres below sea level. This place will amaze you and its calm waters will invite you to take a swim. You are sure to float due to the large amount of salt it contains.

There you will have some free time to enjoy the water and the sun at your leisure before returning to Amman. At the end of the tour, your transport will drop you back at the initial pick-up point of the previous day.

Other Things You Should Know

  • It is highly recommended that you purchase the Jordan Pass (Jordanpass.jo) before your arrival if you are planning to stay in Jordan for more than three nights
  • You should wear comfortable shoes, as there will be quite a bit of walking during this excursion
  • For your overnight stay in Wadi Rum, you’ll need your personal toiletries, a towel, a toothbrush and warm clothing, as it gets cold at night in the desert during winter
  • The camp in Wadi Rum is a basic camp in a good location within the Ron Reserve; it consists of tents, with beds, blankets, communal toilets, a dining room and all basic amenities, including electricity supplied by a solar system (there is no heating in the tents, no air conditioning, and private bathrooms are available only with the deluxe option).
  • One medium-sized suitcase is permitted per traveller (there is no space for large suitcases or more than one medium-sized suitcase)
  • There will be around 7 travellers on the group tour
  • For the group excursion, limited to a maximum of 7 people, it is very important to be ready at the scheduled times, especially for the morning pick-up. If these times do not suit you or you require a flexible schedule, you will need to change your option and choose the private excursion.
  • Not recommended for pregnant women, travellers with back problems, heart conditions or other serious medical conditions
