The Pass allows you to breathe in the atmosphere amongst exotic species from every corner of the ocean, enjoy a 10% discount on tickets for birthday parties, as well as in the aquarium shop and café; plus any special promotions L’Aquàrium may run throughout the year. The Pass prices are as follows:

Let’s be honest, sharks are the stars at L’Aquàrium Barcelona; in fact, even the venue’s logo proves it, and there are numerous activities centred around these creatures, with prices starting from €81. Let’s take a look at everything you can do.

How much does it cost to swim with sharks at the Barcelona Aquarium

L’Aquàrium offers two options:

1- Dive with the sharks. For €175, anyone aged 8 and over can dive into the shark tank, protected by a cage, for 3 hours, where they’ll experience their first diving adventures under the guidance of experts.

2-Dive with sharks. Are you ready to be a diver for a day and come face to face with one of the ocean’s most powerful predators? For €300, certified divers can dive surrounded by more than 15 sharks, turtles, jellyfish, manta rays and other marine species.
This activity allows you to bring up to two guests to the aquarium free of charge. Whilst L’Aquàrium provides you with souvenirs of the activity, your family or friends will watch your diving skills.

Important
To take part in this activity, divers with a valid licence must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Aged between 10 and 15 years. They must provide a signed parental consent form and be accompanied by their legal guardian.
  • Aged between 16 and 17. Must be accompanied by their legal guardian.
  • Be over 18 years of age.

Under no circumstances is it necessary for the guardian to dive with the child in their care.

How much does it cost to sleep with sharks at the Barcelona Aquarium?

Yes, you read that right: L'Aquàrium offers a night at the aquarium, a brilliant activity that allows children aged 8 to 12 to spend the night at the aquarium from €81 per person.

The sleepover will allow children to sleep in the Oceanarium, right in front of the sharks. They’ll be able to see what these fish and the aquarium’s other 8,000 species get up to, as well as witnessing L’Aquàrium’s morning activities and much more.

L’Aquàrium Barcelona, in support of early childhood education, has prepared a series of experimental workshops where pre-school and primary school children will take part in fun activities to immerse themselves in marine life, its conservation, species, appearance and behaviour. For just €10.70 per child, schools and the aquarium organise enriching activities for up to 30 participants lasting 45 minutes.

The Barcelona Aquarium also has a programme for students in secondary school, sixth form and vocational training. For just €11.20, groups of up to 25 students will learn the basics of diving, as well as studying marine ecosystems, over a period of 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The Education Department at L'Aquàrium de Barcelona offers sixth-form students a course focusing on marine topics, particularly the Mediterranean Sea. For just €50, students interested in carrying out research projects related to the marine ecosystem can enrol on this course comprising three sessions.

During the two-hour sessions, participants will have access to audiovisual resources related to the underwater ecosystem, as well as the opportunity to meet with marine biology experts from the aquarium.

Children aged 3 to 12 will experience their birthday as an adventure at the bottom of the sea. Groups of 10 to 25 children can be accommodated at each party. The price of the birthday party will depend on the number of children and the date of the celebration.

  • From Monday to Thursday, admission per person is €30.
  • At weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) , admission per person costs €35.

How much does the aquarist certificate cost at L'Aquàrium

For €65, young people aged 8 to 14 can take part in activities as aquarists at L'Aquàrium in Barcelona. For 7 hours, groups of 5 to 15 participants gather at the aquarium and, under the guidance of staff, take part in the venue’s activities. A day as an aquarist promotes awareness of the marine ecosystem, helping participants recognise its importance and the proper ways to preserve it. What does this proposal include? A show performed by the diver interacting with the fish, a photograph in the jaws of the Megalodon, and a toast with cava to celebrate the event.
