Step by Step
Spend about 4 hours getting to know the Prado and Reina Sofia Museums with this guided tour with a person who will explain the history, importance and technique used in the main works of the museums. Tickets will not be a problem as this experience already includes them. The groups during the tour are small, approximately 10 people.
The Prado is Spain's national museum, which houses the largest number of works of art in the country. On the other hand, the Reina Sofía is no slouch in terms of size either. That's why, thanks to this visit, you'll focus only on the really important and essential paintings, along with a detailed explanation of each of them.
Although both museums are large, what sets them apart is the artistic style displayed inside. The Prado Museum has a somewhat more classical collection, but this means that it has great paintings such as Las Meninas, La maja desnuda, La Anunciación and El Jardín de las Delicias.
The Reina Sofía Museum, on the other hand, has a collection related to surrealism and abstract art. These movements include works such as Picasso's Guernica and Dalí's The Great Masturbator.
