Menorcan nights are just as intense as in neighbouring Mallorca and Ibiza. The difference between Menorca and its neighbours is that, in Menorca, if you want a quiet activity plan, you can get it. And if you want a party plan, that is also within your reach.

Bars, cafés and open-air concert venues are all over the island and make the Menorcan night an experience for lovers of nightlife and nightlife. From Mahon to Ciutadella, and even in some villages like Binibeca or Fornells, you can find places to party with friends or a partner.

1. Take a stargazing tour

Without a doubt, the ideal night plan is a stargazing tour in Menorca, as due to the low light pollution in certain places on the island, you can enjoy the Milky Way and the constellations with amazing clarity.

This activity, which lasts approximately 2 hours, takes place on Algaiarens Beach, which has Starlight certification, accrediting the optimum conditions for stargazing. Located in the north-eastern part of the Balearic archipelago, it is an idyllic and paradisiacal place, with its coves of crystal clear water and different types of sand.

Moreover, to make the experience much more profitable, it is planned for small groups of no more than 15 people, making it more comfortable when using the astronomical binoculars and telescopes.

2. Delight in the spectacular views of Cova d'en Xoroi

Cova d'en Xoroi is one of the most representative places on the island. Legend has it that its name comes from the story of a shipwreck. A pirate called Xoroi was shipwrecked and hid in a cave with a young girl from the village. One winter the villagers found the shipwrecked man, the missing girl and three children by the footprints in the snow. The villagers sentenced him, but Xoroi threw himself and one of his children into the sea. The young wife was devastated by the death of her love and child, so she returned to the village with her two other children. From there, the name Cova d'en Xoroi originated.

But far from the legend, this place nowadays offers a relaxing as well as beautiful atmosphere. If you are looking for a good place to watch the sunset while eating some delicious tapas, this is the place for you. In Cova d'en Xoroi you will be able to see an amazing sunset, with nothing to envy to other iconic places of the island.

This beautiful place is located in Cala en Porter in the south. It has several terraces and viewpoints that allow you to appreciate the whole landscape facing the Mediterranean. A magical place impossible to miss on the Menorcan night tour.

Jazzbah is a venue located in Ciutadella. Ciutadella is the island's busiest nightlife city, so it's no wonder that its bars and places to party the night away are really special. The highlight of Jazzbah is its theme parties. In particular, the flower-themed party is well known.

In this bar you can also enjoy exquisite cocktails and tapas, as well as spend the night dancing and enjoying a great nightlife atmosphere.

The activity plan is very varied, so I recommend you check out the music and activities on offer here. In case you like surprises and want to enjoy a fun night with lots of drinks, this place will definitely be waiting for you.

If you are looking to try a shisha, Shisha Club is the place for you. The shishas have a wide variety of flavoured essences and are nicotine-free. This bar also offers an exclusive atmosphere in which you can enjoy exquisite cocktails, good music and tapas.

Another of its attractions are the different sections into which the place is divided, to offer visitors a unique and different experience in each of them. You have the opportunity to hang out in the garden terrace, the discotheque or the dance floors.

In case you want to dance till the end, Shisha Club is an excellent choice since its musical offer is really varied, you can move from one musical genre to another. It's a great place to have a quiet night out or a party night, all in one place.

The great thing about Menorca is that in any bar you can get a wide variety of cocktails, however, not all places offer signature cocktails. Some examples are Cafè des Museu and Moonlight Cocktail Bar.

  • Moonlight Cocktail Bar is located in Cala Blanca and offers a wide range of signature cocktails. It has London, American and Spanish influences to provide the customer with the most exquisite cocktail experience on the island. Its terrace is located right in front of the cove, so you will have a beautiful view while you enjoy the signature cocktails. This bar also has an adjoining restaurant where you can sample Menorcan cuisine.
  • Another option to taste signature cocktails in Minorca is at Cafè des Museu, located in the historic centre of Ciutadella.

6. Enjoy a fun night of dancing at Sa Terrassa des Claustre

Mahón is home to one of the best places to enjoy live concerts. This venue is located just in front of Mahón's square, a great place to see the concerts that the venue offers up close. The interesting thing is that some live music shows are at very low prices and others are free.

Here you can even enjoy a bite to eat, tapas, delicious cocktails and refreshing drinks of all kinds. Music is played throughout the year. Internationally renowned dj's, local groups and singers with an impressive talent usually perform here. It is undoubtedly one of the best places in the capital of Menorca to spend a pleasant time listening to good music and tasting some typical dishes.

The itinerary of this place and its music offer varies constantly, which is why I recommend that before visiting the place, you find out about the concerts and shows they offer every day. This is, without a doubt, a good idea if you are staying in Mahón and want to do something different before resting.

7. Be dazzled by the views from Sa Cova

A similar experience to that of Cova d'en Xoroi can be had at Sa Cova. Since 1970 this place has become a tradition on the island of Menorca. It is located inside a natural cave in the heart of Mahón. Its party atmosphere and cosy atmosphere make it a favourite with tourists and visitors alike.

In Sa Cova you have the opportunity to taste exquisite dishes and a wide range of Mediterranean cocktails. One of the most interesting attractions of this place (and one that will blow your mind) is the view from inside the cave to the outside. As for the food, as well as being traditional, it has a varied offer to suit every visitor's taste.

If you want to continue the evening eating something with a view of the sea, Sa Cova will undoubtedly surprise you. It is one of the places I recommend you to visit because of its easy access, its affordable prices and its varied menu. Among the meals you can try in the restaurant, the following stand out:

  • Mussels with sobrasada de Menorca.
  • Hamilton lobster.
  • Caldereta.
  • Braised squid with pine nut and tomato vinaigrette.
  • Seafood fideuá.
  • Fillet of beef with sweet potato parmentier.

8. Taste the best hamburger in Menorca

If you want to eat something beyond traditional gastronomy, Paput Burgers and Cocktail is your choice. They offer multiple fillings for the burgers, so you can choose from a wide variety to satisfy your cravings. There is also an extensive cocktail menu available.

In case you want to go with children you can also do so, as it is not an adults-only place. They also have a wide range of non-alcoholic soft drinks to go with the burgers.

But this restaurant, which is open late into the night, doesn't just have burgers. There is also a wide variety of tapas dishes. Without a doubt, this is one of the favourite places for Menorcans at night. I recommend this place for its excellent musical atmosphere and also for its pleasant atmosphere to enjoy good food with family and friends.

9. Enjoy a night of partying until dawn.

The party in Mahón goes on until dawn in its popular bars and pubs. Specifically in the Mambo Deluxe bar you will have the opportunity to dance to different musical rhythms and stay at the party until six in the morning if you want. This is one of the busiest and most visited places in Menorca's nightlife, perhaps because of its great musical offer.

It has several atmospheres, including the terrace, where you can also enjoy the views. This bar is not open on Mondays and Thursdays. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays they are open from 8 p.m. until 3 a.m., while from Friday to Sunday they are open special hours, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

One of the best things about this bar is that it is part of a complex in the port of Mahón where you can find other equally idyllic options to spend the night.

10. Dinner on the open-air terrace of the Nou Bar

Right in the centre of Mahón you will find this place called Nou Bar, one of the best options you have if you are looking for a comfortable and pleasant place to spend a nice time with friends or family. The highlight of this place is its open-air terrace where you can have a coffee while enjoying the sunset or the Mahón city night.

The menu offered by this bar-restaurant is quite extensive, so you can choose from multiple dishes or tapas to recharge your batteries. Another advantage of this bar is its cheap prices, as well as its live music. The quality of the place speaks for itself. I recommend you to try the tapas on the menu before ordering something stronger to eat.

If by any chance you would like to go during the day instead of at night, this meeting point par excellence also offers a wide menu of lunches, typical dishes of the island and, above all, desserts that you will surely love. Without a doubt, this is a place you should not miss. As you can see, the list of things to see and do in Menorca is very interesting and the nightlife is not short.

Bonus Track: Enjoy a night at the cinema in Ciutadella and Mahón

As an extra plan during the Menorcan night, I can't help but suggest a visit to the cinema. Although it is an activity that we can enjoy in our daily life, regardless of the city where we are, going to the cinema in Ciutadella is an entertaining activity that I recommend you to do.

The ideal place to enjoy a film of your favourite genre is at the Cinemes Canal Salat. In case you are not staying in Ciutadella, but in Mahón, you could go to the Ocimax Maó Aficinet.

As in any other similar venue, in both cinemas you will have the possibility to eat some snacks and appetizers. This can also be a good plan if you want a quiet evening before going to your room.
