Step by Step

The excursion begins first thing in the morning in Zurich and heads for the heart of the Alps. The journey is part of the experience: you’ll travel through mountain landscapes and over the Brünig Pass until you reach the Jungfrau region.

The first stop will be Interlaken, situated between Lakes Thun and Brienz. You’ll have approximately 1 hour free to stroll through the town centre, find your bearings and enjoy the alpine atmosphere before continuing on to Grindelwald.

In Grindelwald, you’ll have around 3 hours and 30 minutes to explore on your own. You can wander through the village and seek out viewpoints overlooking the Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau, or make the most of your time by adding an optional activity. Options include taking the cable car up to First, walking along the First Cliff Walk, visiting Lake Bachalpsee or exploring the Glacier Canyon.

The tour then continues to Lauterbrunnen, one of Switzerland’s most photogenic valleys. There, you’ll have time to stroll through the village and admire the Staubbach Falls, one of the country’s highest waterfalls, surrounded by rocky cliffs and scenery straight out of a postcard.

In the late afternoon, you’ll meet up with the guide again to begin the return journey to Zurich, where you’re due to arrive at around 8.00 pm.
