1. The most authentic option, The Old King’s Head
The Old King’s Head is an affordable spot with good reviews. It’s a typical English pub offering a great selection of beers and traditional dishes such as sausages, burgers, and meat pies served with mashed potatoes or chips, as well as starters like crisps or chips.
The staff are very helpful and the atmosphere is very pleasant; many of the customers are locals. What’s more, this pub shows football matches and sporting events on TV, and the music is tastefully chosen.

Bunch of Grapes is situated between The Shard and Borough Market and is a typical British restaurant with a varied menu ranging from vegetarian dishes such as salads and hummus, a wide selection of burgers, sausages, battered cod, steaks and the occasional Italian dish. Everything is made with fresh, seasonal produce. It also has a heated conservatory, ideal for enjoying a beer in good company.
The staff are very friendly and service is prompt. Many of the customers are locals and tend to return regularly.

3. A tasty burger at Patty & Bun

It also serves other typical fast food dishes.
The service is good and the premises are clean.

Pret a Manger is a franchise that was founded in 1986, where you can enjoy salads, sandwiches, baguettes and a wide variety of organic and 100% natural coffees. The staff are usually very friendly and the service is good. What’s more, they often speak Spanish, so if your English is limited, you won’t have any trouble making yourself understood.

The service and customer care are very good and the staff are friendly.

Chilango is a Mexican fast-food restaurant serving burritos, hot boxes and salads that you can customise with various ingredients and dress with traditional sauces such as pico de gallo or salsa verde. The burritos and guacamole come highly recommended. You’ll definitely be back.
The service is good and quick. The staff are very friendly.

Honest Burgers is the perfect place to enjoy a tasty burger made with high-quality beef, served with delicious chips or onion rings. They also offer vegan options. It’s undoubtedly an excellent choice and highly recommended if you’re visiting The Shard. What’s more, the staff are very friendly and the service is good. A place worth visiting again.

Duddell's offers tasty, traditional Hong Kong dishes. Highly recommended if you want to try something different. As for the service, there is room for improvement.

London has a number of typical dishes such as fish and chips, roast beef, meat pie and the burgers so common in traditional pubs. As you’ve read in this post, there are plenty of options for eating out in London and, although the city is generally expensive, there’s something to suit every budget. You can get a bowl of soup for €3.50–€4, a slice of pizza for just €5, a burger for €6–€12 or a whole pizza from €8–€9 and, of course, if you’re not on a tight budget, you can head to a more upmarket restaurant and eat for €20–€25 upwards. In London, breakfast is usually served from 7 am to 10 am, lunch from 12 noon to 2–3 pm, and dinner from 6 pm to 10–11 pm.
