Step by Step
The experience takes place over two separate day trips, held on different dates and departing from Times Square. On the day dedicated to Niagara Falls, you’ll travel by coach through the landscapes of upstate New York on a journey lasting approximately 7 to 8 hours each way.
Once in Niagara, you’ll view the falls from various vantage points and learn about their history and natural significance. If you choose the relevant option and the service is operating, you’ll board the legendary Maid of the Mist to get up close to the base of the falls. Out of season, this experience may be replaced by other available viewing points, such as the Cave of the Winds, Terrapin Point or other accessible areas.
Two days later, you’ll head to Washington D.C., where you’ll see sights such as the Iwo Jima Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the White House and the Capitol from the outside. You’ll also have free time for lunch and, if the schedule allows, a brief visit to the National Air and Space Museum.
You’ll then continue on to Philadelphia, the country’s former capital and a key setting in the American struggle for independence. You’ll explore part of the historic centre on foot to see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and other sites within Independence National Historical Park. The day concludes at the famous Rocky Steps, opposite the Philadelphia Museum of Art, before returning to New York.
