Step by Step

Experience Zurich' s most important monuments with this exploration game. Specifically, you will experience the city through the eyes and life of the scientist Albert Einstein. Throughout the tour, you'll be given different riddles, tests and puzzles to solve with your wits.

There is no specific duration for this activity, as it can last as long as you like. It is a self-directed route that you will follow simply with the help of an app. Once you download it, you can use it as many times as you want. This means that you can pause the route at any time, go for a meal or a rest, and continue from where you left off.

The application, once downloaded, does not need an internet connection to work, so you can do the route without being connected to any network. Along the route, the game will pause right next to the most important monuments in the city.

Among these are some of the most essential ones, such as the following:

  • Paradeplatz: the city's main square, right in the centre of the city, from where you can find your way around.
  • Münsterbrücke: an iconic bridge that will give you incredible views of the river.
  • Zentralbibliothek: the city's municipal library where Einstein and other great scientists spent their afternoons.
  • St. Peters Church: one of the main churches of old Zurich, with Romanesque architecture, and on the site of a temple dedicated to Jupiter.

I find Zurich a fascinating city. Maybe this is not the best way to get to know it completely, but it is a lot of fun, it goes without saying. It's also learning and solving games in the style of Einstein, so it helps to work the brain.
