Booking a date and time, access to these views costs approximately CAD 63, which is quite affordable compared to its colleagues Top Of The Rock, One World Observatory and the legendary Empire State Building.

There are several types of tickets for The Edge that you can buy to see New York's latest addition to the skyline's list of observation decks. Here I tell you about the options so you can plan your budget and choose the one that suits you best.

Can I buy tickets at the box office and will they be cheaper?

You can buy tickets at the box office for an extra charge of approximately £1.5 per ticket, so it is best to buy your Edge tickets online.

The Edge observatory ticket office is open 365 days a year from 8am to midnight in high season and from 10am to 10pm regularly. You can buy your tickets on the spot, the ticket office is on the fourth floor of the mall next to the gift shop.

Be aware that you will probably have to queue and there is a risk that they may not be available at the times you want, so my advice is to save time and money by buying your tickets online.

Ceci's Traveller Tip

Please note that there is an extra cost for buying tickets at the box office. Buy them online to avoid this.

I am travelling with children and want to visit The Edge, how much do tickets cost?

Children under the age of 5 are free of charge. Children between the ages of 6 and 12 pay a reduced rate, about €32.

However, remember that depending on the day you go, if there are peak crowds you will have to pay an extra €1.5 per ticket and if you want to see the New York sunset with the kids, they also have to pay an additional €9.

If I book in advance, are the tickets cheaper?

There is no special price for advance tickets. The price of the tickets is the same and increases if you choose a day that is considered high season or if you want to go at sunset time.

Also remember that the additional options that we want to add to the basic ticket, such as the champagne glass or the flexible pass, also always have the same price increase and do not vary if you buy the tickets in advance.

Ticket prices on peak and high season days

If you decide to buy your tickets through the official Edge website or at the box office you should be aware that there are certain weeks, weekends and days of the year that are considered "peak". This means that there are more crowds and therefore the price is increased by €1.5 per ticket, even if you buy them in advance.

You can check which are these peak periods on the Edge's official website, but they usually coincide with Christmas, New Year's Eve and summer holidays.
